Lock your most complex, high-tier cupcake in one corner (e.g. bottom-right). Restrict your swipes so this cupcake never gets forced out of its slot.
Sort your cupcakes in descending order leading away from your primary corner. This ensures that when you merge smaller cupcakes, they cascade naturally into your corner cake.
Avoid sliding Up. Sliding Up pulls your corner anchor upwards, allowing a basic vanilla cupcake to spawn at the bottom and lock your high-level combinations.
